Why are guys so preoccupied with size and mesuring up to others?

Seems like a lot of guys want to know how tall they'll be, how 'big' they'll get when they're older, how many girls they've had...

Do they think about girls this way too? I don't want to have a boyfriend who is always comparing and measuring me up to other girls and their friends' girls.

Is there a certain age where this goes away, or will I have to deal with guys like this my whole life?

Also, if you could pick a certain part of a girl you like the most (body, personality, etc) what would it be?

Thanks! :)Why are guys so preoccupied with size and mesuring up to others?
It's a pretty basic guy instinct to try to figure out how you measure up to the world. Especially when you're a teen, it's almost like you've been given a brand new body, so you gotta figure out all over again who you're bigger than, and who to avoid ticking off! :-)

Most guys outgrow this (okay, mostly outgrow this) by middle age, but the ones that don't are really loud and obnoxious about it. As the girlfriend, you can make any guy feel good by dropping a compliment here or there. If a guy gets a few things like that from time to time (in private), he's much less likely to get competitive than if he feels he has 'something to prove.'

I would go with personality and sense of humor every time. The rest of it can either be faked, or changes over time. But someone who can laugh in a tough situation is like gold! Why are guys so preoccupied with size and mesuring up to others?
Not all guys are that competitive, however from the time we are young in our formative years there

is pressure put on boys to be the biggest, fastest , richest, strongest, smartest etc.

What I looked for and found in a woman was reality, I hate plastic.
For the same reason that females always are preoccupied with measuring their busts, and wondering how big they'll get when they're older.
